Triathlon

Last week the Senior Syndicate of Rooms 1 to 4 did our Triathlon. The teachers put the letters on our hands so we can recognise our sports house groups. Our sports house groups are Cook, Hillary, Waitangi and Tainui.

In the triathlon we had to run, bike and swim in our school grounds. You could do it in a team of 3 or individually.

The winners go to the Primary School Inter-school competition tomorrow. It is at Nelson Park and in the Enterprise pool. It will be harder than out school event. In Room 2 we have got Bradley, Kaipo, Madison & Marika going to the Inter-school. We hope they bring home the bacon!

Sunsmart Bracelets

Last week we got some ordinary white beads and some elastic string. We had to put the beads on the string and make a bracelet. We went outside to take a photo and suddenly the bracelets started to change colour. Now we are trying to figure out how they change colour. We wondered if there were any chemicals in the beads. Or if they changed colour in the dark or the light. We all had lots of questions in our head, and we’re still trying to figure out how they changed colour and how they were made.
