Monday Adventure Week

Today we spent time at the Beach and the Park,
We worked hard together to build sand castles before the sea came and washed them away.
We played with each other wonderfully at the park.

Thank you to all the parents that came and helped today.
Adventure week is going to be very exciting if we keep up the good work.

Well done Room 2.
Miss Wallis

Adventure Week

Week 4 is now upon us,

This is going to be one very exciting week,

Monday- Beach day. Parents who are helping please be at Room 2 by 11am
We will spend the morning at school planning and designing our sand creatures we will create at the beach. After morning tea we will go for a swim then head down to the beach to build our creatures and also have a few games. We will head to the park for lunch and spend some time on the playground. -

Tuesday- Totem poles with Mr Palmer.

Wednesday- School activities "FEAR FACTOR" parents please be here by 9.40am
A day of challenges to see which co-operative group can work together to accomplish some challenging tasks. We will need to be BRAVE and WILLING to try new exciting things.

Thursday- Wheels day/ Mini golf and sleepover, parents please be here by 9.40am.
Today we will go for a swim in the morning then head down to the skate park where we will sit down and eat our morning tea before going of to play. At 2.30 we will head back to school and have a game or two on the field and go for a swim to cool of in the school pool before dinner. We will set our beds up around 7:30pm and be in bed by 8pm as we have a big day on Friday.

Friday- Marine Reserve
Today we will get up and have breakfast at 7am. We will pack our bedding up and put everything back in Room 2 for the day. Today we will be going out to Marine Reserve for snorkeling. Not all of us will be in the water at the same time so if we are not in the water then we have a special treasure hunt to do on the beach. We will head back at 1.30 ready for home time.

Week for we need to remember our LISTENING ears and our MANNERS as we are out of school a lot this week so need to listen to instructions carefully. We need our Togs every day this week as well as a water bottle, shoes, hats and a packed lunch so we have food to keep us energized.

I hope we all have a good nights sleep tonight ready for the big week ahead.

Miss Wallis

Well done

Congratulations to these students who were the first ones to 30 gotchas.

Once we get 30 gotchas we get to choose something from our choose it board.

Most popular so far:
*Juicy
*Teachers chair for the day
*Music with a friend inside to eat our lunch.

Well done guys keep up the good work, I know that there are a large number of other Room 2 students who are almost at 30 as well.

Reminders for Week Two Term One

Kia Ora,

I hope everyone has had a excellent start to the week. I know that Room 2 has started the week with amazing attitudes toward their learning and towards each other.

Mr Gilmore enjoyed himself today teaching the lovely Room 2 students. Remember Mr Gilmore will be taking Room 2 every Tuesday as this is my release day.

Reminders:
1. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE remember to bring a pack of biscuits to share after the Powhiri on Thursday afternoon.
2. Hats need to be brought to school and worn whenever playing outside.
3. Togs should be brought everyday. Even if it is not our swimming day as we might get a chance to go if another class has something planned in their swimming time.
4. Pat has started back teaching swimming so it is important we use our amazing listening skills when she is talking.
5. Please bring back your permission slips filled out and signed for adventure week.
6. Last but not least can you please have a hunt around at home for your town library cards as we have our first town library visit on Monday. It would be good if we can all get books out at the town library to take home and read.
